Health Education and Rural Development Society
is a non-governmental, non-profit organization founded in 1996 with a mission to uplift rural communities through sustainable development, healthcare, and education initiatives. Headquartered in Mydukur, Andhra Pradesh, HERDS operates with a deep commitment to improving the lives of marginalized and vulnerable groups, focusing on holistic growth and empowerment.
Our organization was established with a community-service motive, driven by humanitarian principles. We believe in promoting social, economic, and environmental well-being, ensuring that every individual in the community has access to basic needs such as education, healthcare, clean water, and livelihood opportunities.
HERDS is a non-political, non-religious, and non-commercial entity, recognized under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 (Registration No. 71/1996). We are also registered under the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act (FCRA), with the Ministry of External Affairs, and hold tax exemptions under Section 12AA & 80G of the Income Tax Act. As a trusted organization for CSR partnerships (CSR Registration No.: CSR00011965), we have built collaborations with various stakeholders to achieve meaningful impact.
