School Infrastructure Development (Chagalamarri)

HERDS, with the generous support of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), Chennai, India, has successfully implemented a transformative school infrastructure initiative at the Kasturba Gandhi Girls High School and Junior College, Chagalamarri, Nandyal District, Andhra Pradesh.

Key Project Deliverables

This project aims to provide a better learning environment and ensure access to essential resources for over 1300 underprivileged girl students.

Installation of RO Purified Water Plant

Ensuring access to safe drinking water, promoting students' health and hygiene.

Provision of Educational Infrastructure

Delivery and installation of iron desks, tables, chairs, and racks to accommodate classroom needs.
Provision of class boards to enhance the teaching experience.

Technology Support

Computer and printer to facilitate digital literacy and smooth school administration processes.

Library Materials

Setup of new library shelves and resources, enriching students' access to knowledge and reading materials.

Impact on Students and Community

This initiative has significantly improved the quality of education and infrastructure at the school, benefiting 1300 girl students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
